This week I entered all the grades from my gradebook into the SchoolTool program so that it could calculate students' 5-week averages. This is the first year that parents or guardians will also have access to my online gradebook, and I'm not sure what YOU can see when you open up your version of the site. So I wanted to communicate what some of the abbreviations are that you might see if you check grades through SchoolTool.
lt - This assignment was completed late. It got a lower grade as a result.
ex - Student was excused from completing this assignment (probably because of absences). This grade will NOT count against them in their average.
RD - This is a test grade AFTER the student Re-Did the problems they got wrong originally. So while this grade may seem low, it was even lower before the test corrections were done. Students are required to do test corrections when they get a D or an F on a test. For every problem they do right on their corrections, they regain half the points they lost.
